Up the Hill

Nick hitting a drop off

The wind seems to have dried up but looking at stu's blog looks like he has a awesome surf session on boxing day. Christmas was pretty good went around to my brothers house for dinner still fill full now, so to burn it of decided to go for a bike ride with Nick B.

Nick was good enough to lend me one of his awesome bikes but unfortunately I broke the chain 300 meters down the road instead I took charge of the camera, Nick has the most awesome camera (although it weights a ton) managed to get some sweet shots of him doing some awesome jumps kinda glad the chain on my bike was broke would of tried one of these jumps and probally injured myself.

Anyway after two and half hours nick got a  booty call which meant we had to rush back to the car. pretty hard pushing a bike throw the undergrowth seemed like the Bhutan deathmarch!!

With the forecasts look pretty crap for the fore-coming week going to try and get some revision done for my two exams in Jan, and maybe some good old fashioned turfdogging.

Baby Moo Photoshoot And Christmas Wrapping

As Baby Moo is doing too many cut-backs on the carpet in the spare room, I thought baby moo should go for a photo-shoot in the luxury exotic location of Shelly's back garden. I got this board to complement my bigger Moo (aka Jon's Moo) which is wicked but thought it would be nice having a slightly small board. The board is 229cm x 55cm twin on 15cm MFC TP's. Take a look!...

Awesome I know!!

Anyway with Christmas around the corner there is always that dreaded present wrapping to do so here's my handy hint to make the time fly!
  1. Pre-cut tiny bits of sticky-tape (nothing is more annoying than having to find the end of the tape)
  2. Put on a good windsurf DVD, I recommend..... well all of them but at the moment I'm loving PWA 2006 Season DVD when they still had super x.
  3. Have plenty to drink, nothing beats Sailor Jerry's and coke
Anyway if you follow that advice you will have got drunk and stared at the TV but oh well at least you had fun!!

Season Greetings!!!!

Bad Call

Over the last week the wind has been a bit rubbish, forecasts have shown promise but nothing seems to happen, but managed two sessions both a West Kirby, one on a 5.4 and the best session which was a quick spare of the moment session at 15:00 on a 4.2 (when Bill met Daisy) which was super windy and getting dark

Daisy looks like a super awesome board! But so does my new baby moo which i picked up last week, Soon I'll get to take out baby moo (yet to be Christened!) for the moment baby moo is sitting in the spare room shredding on the carpet (never seen a cut-back on a carpet before)

Got the call earlier this week that it was going to be windy on Sunday: me and Shelly hooked up with 'Team Gwynn' and Alex (who hasn't had a session since september, which must be killing him) and headed down to Mid-Wales to find some waves.

Feet up following 'Team Gwynn'

The first spot which we checked wasn't delivering, so we then headed down to Tywyn, which was on-shore and mushy what a nightmare...long drive with no reward!... (good job its sprout season now so some wind should be on it's way!)

Tywyn's onshore
mush

...Although it wasn't an entirely wasted day as managed to score a awesome lamb burger from this a super organic farm shop outside Bala, and a cool honey ice cream from a shop outside Tywyn, so heads up if your heading that way with no wind in your sails!!

Neo-Man

Unfortunately for me I missed what was probably a awesome session at Leasowe on Thursday , but due an excessive amount of pineapple smoothie (enough said) I had to sit that session out.

So I decided to make up for it, hitting Leasowe on Friday as Neo-Man with only my face exposed, I hit the super onshore mush with a passion, and yes I could say the conditions were rubbish, but it was just awesome to be out.

Managed some little wave rides, one massive aerial (not sure how it happened it in the crappy conditions), and I was nice and toasty, can't ask for more

Word from Moo has reached me that the board has been plugged and is going through lamination as I speak!!!! wahooooo

Just Can't Wait!!!!

Some of my board ideas!!

About 2 months ago I decided to sell my much loved pocket wave 78 to little Rupert from T15 and order... Moo Custom. After chatting to Jon from Moo, I decided to go for a 55cm ish wide twin.

So woohoo to moo!...As you can tell I cant wait to get my hands (or rather my feet!) onto my twin fin extravaganza!  Im counting down the days now as its nearing completion and Im just hoping for a good bit of wind (well I should be in luck...Its sprout season!)

The other day, Jon dared to ask what graphics I wanted on the board so I attacked my creative side to see what I could come up with...most of the ideas were really batty! So after lots of deliberating I finally decided to go for safe and original option of the Moo team design which looks awesome really...sticks out on the beach!...Just what my attention seeking self needs!!

Check Moo Custom Out!!
