The plan was initially to go to Prestatyn but after discussion with
Jay and
Laird (I mean Stu), Leasowe was decided on, to get some decent cross-shore jumping, but as morning shifted into gear the wind decided to do its own thing and the call was shifted to West Kirby for some freestyle.
At West Kirby the sun was out, what more can you ask for! Chris and Alex were out who i haven't sailed with in a while as well as the usual weekend warriors going for hell for leather, hope once i qualify i don't have to resort to that sort of behavior (freakin' scary talk!!).
6.7 Miles
As the wind was blowing a SSW Jay and me decided to have a quick trip down to Heswall it's a 6.7 mile return journey, which was great to have a decent long reach.
This little trip has also got me thinking so I am going to set myself a challenge The West Kirby To Leasowe Down Winder (Although i am going to think of a catchier title) West Kirby to Leasowe is approximately 7 Miles, and would easily be achievable in a Westerly. um.... something to think about anyway!!!
